2011 - what a cracker!

What a year 2011 has been.  It's been 'full on', with just some of our projects listed below:

• South Street West, the new motel at the entrance to Manfeild Park
• The outdoor arena at Manfeild and is complete and fully operational
  
• New retail premises for Postie Plus in Feilding.
  
• Showroom, workshop and offices for Power Farming, in Feilding.
  
• The new Country Kindy is up and running and doing well
  
• A refit of the offices at JVL on Broadway, Palmerston North
  
• New offices for the team at Third Bearing
  
• Exciting new subdivision at Poplar Grove opened, with a new showhome finished in time for Christmas
  
• A couple more cowsheds were designed and built - if you have cows needing a shed, we'd love to hear from you!

• The opening of 3 Poplar Grove, Feilding (off Homelands Ave).  Call Gary Nesdale on 027 297 0954 for opening times or for a private viewing - it's definitely worth a look!
  
• The flock at blacksheepdesign need a new shed, and we've been entrusted to get this one sorted. See, we love cows, .... and sheep!
  
• Cowsheds, cowsheds and more cowsheds - we'd love to build a shed for your cows.
  
• New development in the old Rebel Sport building - keep your eyes peeled - this one will happen pretty quickly.
  
• The old BP site on corner of Princess and Ferguson Streets (opposite McDonalds) needs a facelift and new tenants - know of anyone interested?  We'd love to hear from you.

Humphries Construction's build of a striking Oaks Drive home has won the Supreme Award in the Manawatu Registered Master Builders PlaceMakers 2011 House of the Year and RMB Commercial Project Awards.

Stadium impresses US expert

Humphries Construction are proud to have been the main contractor on the design and build projects for the indoor Agricultural & Equestrian Events Centre and for the two new outdoor arenas. A recent press release from Manfeild said;

He's (Jeremy Steinberg) experienced the world's best equestrian sport venues - and reckons Manfeild Park Stadium is entirely worthy of comparison.

B&M Electrical New Premises in Rangitikei Street

Humphries Construction was main contractor for the project to fit out the new premises for B&M Electrical in Rangitikei Street. Thanks to our subbies and staff for another successful project.

Carters in association with Winstone Wallboards were delighted to sponsor the first Area Rodeo event held at the Manfeild Agri-Events Stadium in Feilding. The rodeo was a great success with over 1,600 spectators coming to see the spectacle of 300 cowboys and girls competing in 15 events from steer wrestling, barrel riding, team roping and bull riding.

The Manfeild Part hippodrome (hippos meaning horse and dromos meaning course) has just recently been built by Humphries Construction with Adam Dekker, the centre project manager. Manfeild Park's purpose designed agricultural and equestrian centre, which can be configured for a range of other competitions and displays, well fits the hippodrome definition as a home of performance spectacle. At 7,750 square metres, this single span building is the largest facility of its kind in the Lower North Island. It has the potential to seat 5,000 spectators, plus 400 in corporate boxes, and offers immediate parking for 650 vehicles, will be a huge asset to the Manawatu region.
